Introduction
Welcome, this is the future oficial introduction of WoTMud.
WoTMud is a multiplayer online text based game you can play for free on your pc (using mudlet) or your phone (diferent options), it is based on the wheel of time and was officially authorized by Robert Jordan
Here is the link to said authorization https://wotmud.info/authorization-from-robert-jordan/
This Blog is to make your introduction as a new player or someone interested in the game or world a bit easier, this game has been going on for a long time and has a small but active community, dont worry about the discord not speaking a lot, people chat more in game.
Tho it is tecnically a roleplay game, you can just play the game normally, rp is optional but some clans do have necessity of it, but there are some rules you might wanna look in case of conflict https://wotmud.fandom.com/wiki/Update:Rules_of_WoTmud
Now, something you need to know is that the main wiki and the info pages are missing some things, or not up to date, we hope to make this a bit more complete at a later date.
For now let me explain to you how to join:
After installing Mudlet you should use this https://github.com/weisluke/WoTMUD/blob/main/README.md to install some extra important add-ons.
You will be asked for the name of your character, if you write one already in use it will be like logging in so reconnect as it will keep asking for password, when you put a new name it will ask you to confirm and after you put y, it will ask you to put your password, and to confirm it again, then you will be asked gender, side and homeland, i think the homeland affects to the pre roled stats in the past currently it might not but it is not that important there are ways to change later.
You have 4 classes:
Channeler https://forums.wotmud.info/viewtopic.php?f=76&t=20342&p=164970#p164970
The channeler guide also has a small guide for basic commands.
Hunter https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4NUSLuWRVxo
Warrior
Rogue
The class you pick will affect to how you use your practice sessions and your stats and in channeler case your access to the power, have in mind there are multiple ways to loose access to the source forever i think, like overchanneling, getting killed by one clan in particular in a special place or embracing for too long.
If you use command: practice you can see your current practiced skills, you can go to the trainers in the map of each class to train their respective skills, depending on your class it will cost more or less.

Old wiki intro kind off https://wot.fandom.com/wiki/Wheel_of_Time_MUD_(Multi_User_Dungeon_game)
Its very old, just with telling you that you can no longer create a seanchan side character should be enough to tell you how old
